Our little princess turned 3 over the weekend. We had 2 parties one at chuck e cheese and one small little gathering of family and friends at our home. She is a die hard princess fanatic so the theme was of course princess. I did my first dying of a cake batter and I have to say I was pretty impressed with how the colors came out. It was a pretty simple cake covered in sprinkles but I knew she would love it and that she did. I posted a few pics of her cake. Love her little expressions.

Make Over of a Goblet
We attended a Disco party over the weekend, and I really wanted to make the birthday boy a goblet that was a disco ball but I ran out of time. I found a goblet at party city and after looking at it I realized the letters just peeled off. Here is a picture of the original.
Well after peeling of the letters and adding a few of my own touches to it! I really like the after picture better.

Tried to take my daughter's picture!
I made this adorable shirt for my daughter that I found originally on Pinterest also made the headband. I decided I wanted to take my kids Christmas pictures this year. Well this is about how it went so needless to say we didn't send out Christmas cards. This is the first time in almost eight years I did not send out Christmas cards.
Nana's Banana Bread
This is my favorite Banana Bread recipe! It may be because it's made my mother but it's the yummiest!
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups Flour
1 2/3 cup sugar
1 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Salt
2/3 cups shortening (or canola oil)
2/3 cup buttermilk ( I use apple cider vinegar with a big splash milk)
1 1/4 Banana's (about 3 small ones)
3 Eggs
2/3 cup nuts
Combine all ingredients listed in the order as followed. Bake at 350 45-50 minutes. Depending on your oven you may need to bake a little longer. Use a toothpick to test to see if the bread is done. Let cool and slice and add some butter and ENJOY!!!

Hello Kitty!!
So as most of you know my daughter is obsessed with all things kitty and now especially Hello Kitty. So in lieu of her up coming 2nd birthday (which is still a few months away but I like to plan ahead) I decided to see if I could make a felt stuffed Hello Kitty.
Not too shabby I think for my first try. Or at least I don't think so lol. So just to show how much she is addicted here is a picture of my daughter one morning after she had woken up.
My daugher and most of her kitties! Goodness!
Well I'm hoping to continue posting more because I am hoping this year I will get more creative things done. One of my resolutions last year was to bake and scrapbook more which didn't happen. This year I'm going to find the time to do more things that I enjoy doing.
Till next time! :)
